Wishing you a joyful season and prosperous year ahead!

SOFACQ Gallery is an exhibition space located near Ghent, in the historic factory where SOFACQ slippers were produced until the late 1970s. On the façade, it still says “Sofacq” in robust Art Deco lettering, short for Société de Fabrication de Chaussures de Qualité. Today, this stands for Société de Fabrication de Culture de Qualité. â€‹

SOFACQ Gallery primarily works with pieces from Collection R., the art collection of former food entrepreneur Peter Rodrigues. Additionally, artists whose work is already part of the collection are regularly invited to create an exhibition in dialogue with the collection. In this way, we strive to continually present the collection to the public in a new light.

Collection R.

SOFACQ Gallery exhibits the Collection R. A retrospect of more than 25 years of vision and emotion collected by R. An assembly of unique and exciting artworks from a variety of contemporary artists.

We are updating the online database for the full collection. Please note that the overview is currently incomplete. New works are added daily.

Experience SOFACQ Gallery

A few times a year, we open our doors to the public with an exhibition. For these exhibitions, we invite one or more artists to present new work in dialogue with the collection and the unique space.

During our exhibitions SOFACQ Gallery can be booked for private viewings and guided tours.

We work together with selected partners for a subsequent networking event or a meeting room.
