A new exhibition is opening in spring 2026!
SOFACQ Gallery is an exhibition space located near Ghent, in the historic factory where SOFACQ slippers were produced until the late 1970s. On the façade, it still says “Sofacq” in robust Art Deco lettering, short for Société de Fabrication de Chaussures de Qualité. Today, this stands for Société de Fabrication de Culture de Qualité.
SOFACQ Gallery primarily works with pieces from Collection R., the art collection of former food entrepreneur Peter Rodrigues. Additionally, artists whose work is already part of the collection are regularly invited to create a presentation of exhibition in dialogue with the collection. In this way, we strive to continually present the collection to the public in a new light.

Experience SOFACQ Gallery
A few times a year, we open our doors to the public with an exhibition, presentation or event. On these occasions, we invite one or more artists to exhibit new work in dialogue with the collection and our unique space.
During our exhibitions SOFACQ Gallery can be booked for private viewings and guided tours. Please do not hesitate to enquire about the possibilities.
We work together with selected partners for a subsequent networking event or a meeting room.
